I'm Minister Emerita of the First Unitarian Church in Portland, OR, now writing full-time. My newest book is a memoir, "Raw Faith: Following the Thread" (June, 2014), which is the back story to the acclaimed documentary film, "Raw Faith," (available on Netflix) about my retirement from the ministry and finding love in my life. I write regularly for Huffington Post, on their religion page. I'm interested in spiritual growth, social/cultural issues, relationship, women's issues, saving the planet. I teach at Attic Institute, a local resource for writers, and also at Maitripa, a Buddhist college. Currently I'm writing flash fiction. Living beside the beautiful Willamette River here in Portland, with my husband George and my good cat, Molly. Find out more about my writing and teaching at marilyn@marilynsewell.com.
