Born to Scottish parents. Father from mainland Scotland, Mother from the Shetland Isles "Northern Isles." Grew up near Loch Lomond. She spent later years living in the Shetland Isles with her husband and children. The urge to write a Saga, "When Norse Winds Blow" about the lives of a particular group of Vikings came after discovering a large stone slab with strange markings in the garden of the cottage they were renovating. The 6th-century slab is now in the Lerwick Museum. Many strange coincidences began to emerge regarding events she had written about in the first and second books. New discoveries in the past year were to show these events actually happened. This prompted a submission of DNA, only to find a strong connection to a Viking Ancestry, to "Norway," and "Denmark." To as far afield as "Nova Scotia," which already appeared in the second book. There is a compelling need for this story to be told. It will be interesting to see what the third book,(a work in progress) reveals.
