Mara is a native New Yorker and self-proclaimed Citizen of the World, who began a love affair with London more than 20 years ago. She’s written from an early age, and when a BBC documentary on WW2 caught her interest, she followed the "what ifs" until her first novel emerged and hasn’t looked back. Her debut novel, CITY OF SPIES, was shortlisted for CrimeFest's Specsavers' Debut of the year, and has been translated into Portuguese. The sequel, RESISTANCE, launched in 2021, and Mara is currently at work on the 3rd book in the series. Mara lives in London with her dachshund. She loves reading, writing, running, Pilates, red wine, and spending time with friends and family. Maybe not in that order...
