Theresa Ebro is the founder and designer of Chopstick and Succulents, a site that inspires people to grow succulent plants and use them for creative projects. She has taught thousands of succulent beginners all sorts of tips and hacks through her Youtube videos. As a registered nurse, her line of work is very stressful. Her succulent hobby has helped her reduce her stress level and live a much more productive and happier life. She grew up in a family of farmers, watching her parents grow vegetables from seeds. By doing so, her parents also planted a tiny seed in her heart during childhood. It grew silently within her for years, waiting for that perfect time to bloom. From that seed emerged a love of growing plants—not vegetables, but succulents. As a beginner, she too struggled to understand how to keep succulents alive and happy. Her love for creating arrangements and the joy it brought her was a constant drive to succeed. Experimenting, learning from failure and paying attention to the plant’s behavior has helped her figure out what is best for them. Her passion for succulents has turned into an income-generating hobby. When she finally figured out the best way to take care of these plants, she decided to share the lessons with others.
