Born in 1947 in Modesto Ca. I went to school in Ceres Ca. In high school, I was described as one of the jocks. Playing on the football, track, swimming and wrestling teams. Tried going to College, didn't like it. Enlisted in the Marines instead in 66. Volunteered for Vietnam and had no problems with my tour, but found I was hated by a lot of my countrymen when I came home. Then realized I really didn't care what they thought. I've driven a cab, cowboyed, drove a wrecker, planted trees, washed dishes, pumped gas, been a master automotive computer technician and worked as a construction millwright, ultimately doing whatever it took to pay the bills. My wife Paula and I now live in Cottage Grove, Oregon and we have 3 boys, 2 girls, 6 grandkids, two great grandkids and 3 Boston Terriers. After I retired my oldest daughter decided we should write a book together. We are still working on that one. I found that I was having so much fun with this writing thing, that I had originally hated in school, that while waiting for her section of our book to be written, I sat down and wrote: "Last in his class". Now I have a separate follow-up book set in the same universe and sharing a few characters in the works.
