Lynne Seeger was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan and has lived her entire life in Michigan. She does not consider herself a writer; she is a mother with a story to tell. She raised Jeff, an autistic person, for almost thirty years before his death. She spent most of that time working tirelessly as his advocate in an era that did not recognize autism as a health issue, but as a behavior problem. She fought for him to have every opportunity only to be disappointed time after time when what was supposed to be a new beginning became another dead end. She is mother to one other son who was his brother's idol. She has been married almost fifty years to a wonderful man who supports every idea she has even if he doesn't quite agree with her vision. Together the Seeger family found a way to make the best of each new "Jeff situation." Life without Jeff changed the family dynamic forever and this book is the result of the changes and memories they have shared.
