Lori Brown currently serves as the gifted teacher for a small school system in Alabama. Before serving as a gifted teacher, she taught English for nine years. Her background in teaching and love for writing gave her inspiration to create her memorable characters. She uses rhyme schemes to help students learn while enjoying the stories they are reading. She regularly visits her childhood home on the banks of the Tombigbee which is where her main character Dudley was born. She now lives in McKenzie, Alabama with her husband Miles.
