LISA STEELE is a fifth generation New England chicken keeper and creator of the Fresh Eggs Daily® brand. For almost 15 years Lisa has been sharing advice on raising backyard flocks as well as "coop to kitchen" recipes using fresh eggs from her coop and fresh produce from her garden. The author of six popular books on raising backyard flocks which have sold more than 175,000 copies worldwide. Her childrens book "Let's Hatch Chicks"was long-listed for the 2019 AAAS/Subaru SB&F Prize which honors the best in science books for children. Her book "DIY Chicken Keeping" has been translated into French as "Cocotte Club" and German as "Huhner in Gluck". Lisa's debut cookbook, "The Fresh Eggs Daily Cookbook", received a coveted Publishers Weekly starred review and was chosen as an Amazon Editor's Book of the Month. With nearly 1 million followers on social media, Lisa has become the go-to source for everything related to backyard flocks and has appeared on NPR's Here & Now, Martha Knows Best on HGTV, and the Hallmark Home & Family Show, as well as numerous other local morning shows, and been featured on Dr. Oz and The View and in the New York Times, the Farmers Almanac, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Fox New, CNN, The Spruce Eats, The Splendid Table, and Martha Stewart's website, as well as other national print and digital media.
