LISA STEELE is a Maine author, 5th generation chicken keeper, TV host, media personality, self-taught cook and baker, and founder of the popular Fresh Eggs Daily brand. CHICKEN KEEPER | A fifth generation New England chicken keeper, Lisa has been sharing advice on raising backyard flocks for nearly 20 years. The author of seven popular books on raising backyard flocks, her childrens book "Let's Hatch Chicks" was long-listed for the 2019 AAAS/Subaru SB&F Prize which honors the best in science books for children, and several of her other books have been translated into French, German, and Russian. COOKBOOK AUTHOR + RECIPE DEVELOPER | Lisa enjoys cooking with fresh eggs from her chickens and local, seasonal ingredients from the garden. Lisa holds a Recipe Development Certificate from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School and released her debut cookbook, "The Fresh Eggs Daily Cookbook" in 2022. That book received a Publishers Weekly starred review, and was chosen as an Amazon Editor's Book of the Month. Her second cookbook In Season will be out in May 2026, and she is currently working on her third cookbook. MEDIA PERSONALITY | With more than 1 million followers across social media, Lisa has become the go-to source for everything related to backyard flocks and eggs.
