This is Dr. Bond's first book about her new home. "San Angelo A to Z: A Young Reader's Guide" shows what makes this West Texas town unique from ART to ZAPATOS. The photos of donkeys, museums and treasures were taken by photographers who put their heart and soul into their pictures. The San Angelo Area Foundation is giving a copy of the book to every third grader in San Angelo this year. Dr. Bond's historical novel, "Saving the Oldest Town in Texas," combines history with a modern day tale of restoring a deteriorating mansion. The book is frequently featured at book clubs, state meetings, historical organizations and genealogical groups. Bond won two 2018 national Telly awards for a television production of her work, and has written and produced 20 historic plays. She writes for newspapers, magazines and television and taught in the Mass Communication department of Stephen F. Austin State University from 2002-2018. A new twist: Bond is bringing "Saving the Oldest Town in Texas" to life by portraying Daisy Sutton Wettermark, the woman left behind. As Daisy, she speaks about how Col. Wettermark became the most wanted man in the United States in 1903 and what she did when he disappeared without telling her. Also featured on Amazon is "Quarantine A-Z" from her son Shelby Bond's YouTube channel, Shelby Bond's Quarantine Cabaret.
