Moises Leopoldo Rafael Madrigal Delgado was born in Cuba in 1955. He and his parents were abiding in London when Fidel Castro came to power. The Madrigal family never returned to their native island. Leo attended public school and university in England. Then for nearly three decades he pursued the profession of a book conservator. Upon his retirement in 2007, he moved to the United States. Shortly thereafter he embarked upon a new career as a fine artist. His painting studio is in the Texas Hill Country. He is a memebr of the Griffoun Society of Austin and Houston, Texas, and the absentee owner of a small bookstore and art gallery in Mexico City. A number of his essays and homilies have been published in pamphlet form by Griffoun Press, and some are included in Dusky Nightshade's Opuscule edited by Ouida Peeples. Leo's life since coming to America, his art, and his writing are all subjects of the novel Dusky Nightshade and the Little Heathens by Trudy Silverheels.
