An RN-MSN with more than a decade spent working in healthcare, I publish resources for nurses and nursing students under the pen name Lena Empyema. My diverse background includes work in pharmaceutical research, EMS, acute rehab, med/surg, pediatrics, orthopedics, specialty infusions, and contract and agency work in multiple states. I focused on the legalities of charting and documentation practices for nurses for my thesis. Nursing is hard, and the current climate of healthcare doesn't make the job any easier.
