Who is Lee prior? Just a bloke really….Husband, Dad, Son and Brother. No superpowers. No deep and meaningful insights on life the universe and everything. I work, dodge chores, get stressed when my Football teams doesn’t win and probably eat too much just like a million other men of a ‘certain’ age, so why did I write a book and why should you spend your hard earned cash on it? To be honest the better question would be why didn't I write a book sooner, but let's answer the first question before we get into that.... Picture this…I'm in my late 40's and the midlife crisis is in full swing, so I have a choice. Do I buy a Fast Car? – Too expensive! Do I get a tattoo? – Too painful! Do I have an affair with a younger woman? – Too clichéd and far too exhausting! With those avenues closed the next logic choice in my mind was to write a book. I had no big plans for it, it was just going to be for me, but before I knew what was going on I’d completed 110,000 words that at times almost seemed to write themselves and then, after my wife persuaded me to submit the manuscript, I was offered a publishing contract! The result is a book I never thought would actually become a reality, and the realisation that writing is something I love doing…Who knew you could still surprise yourself at my age? Anyway if you’re reading this and you like Sci-fi then take a chance and read Sepulchre – Shadow of the Siren. If you enjoy reading it half as much as I enjoyed writing it then it’ll be money well spent!
