For the past 20 years Leanne Walters has been heavily involved in therapeutic groups and meetings focusing on individuals who struggle with their addictive, empathic and codependent tendencies. You might be wondering, why? Leanne has always been an Empath, feeling the harsh social anxiety and emotional abuse that comes with it on a constant basis throughout her entire life. Once she chose to help other Empaths and learned more and more about the topic, she was shocked to find that there was another trait that was similarly related to Empaths which was being codependent. She soon figured out that these two tendencies were similar on the outside but presented very different qualities, making them both equally as important to do research on. Leanne first felt these highly sensitive emotions and feeling while dealing with numerous complications and issues to do with social interactions and relationships. However, things all changed for her once she took the first step to changing her life for the better. Scared and not knowing what to expect, she went to her first therapy meeting close to 20 years ago and it altered things forever. Ever since, Leanne has been hell-bent on not only cleaning up her personal life, but helping others do the same through endless hours of research and volunteer work at therapy meetings and mental illness recovery facilities.
