Laura Hesse

Laura Hesse

"My life has been a marvelous adventurous, and a bit on the wild side... pun intended. I worked as a forest firefighter in northern Alberta for several years and a timber cruiser in northern Ontario. I was privileged enough to experience ball lightning rolling in the tree tops over head, misty mornings on remote lakes, a friendly skunk who loved bacon, and so much more. When an outhouse became a luxury item though, I decided it was time to move on." Laura Hesse. Laura grew up a back stage brat in Music Hall Theater. She learned early that while she was a pretty good singer, she was a lousy tap dancer. She credits her mother with her love of song, dance, & stage comedies, turning her obsession for the arts into a writing career with character driven funny cozy mysteries and horse stories with lovable villains and heroines thrust into difficult circumstances, but real life is like that, isn't it? Now Laura lives on Vancouver Island with two old cats and an insane rescue dog. Visit for a full bio.
