Larry Murley was born in the year Hitler invaded Poland. He grew up during the years of the Great War and remembers that is wasn't just the troops fighting the war - the people at home shared in the hardships as well. The rationing touched every part of their lives. The everyday things we take for granted - sugar, oil, rubber, and many more things. He entered school the first year the war was over. People were patriotic then, and he remembers this well. He grew up in the easy going days of the 1950's. In 1961 he entered the military believing that it was his duty to do so. In a short time he found himself in a country that at the time most Americans did not know existed - Vietnam. The impact on his mind was a lasting one and has followed him throughout his adult life. In 2013 he decided he would turn those memories into a novel, and try to tell about the early days of the the Vietnam War, which few seem to speak of. In April 2014 he published his first novel - Loss of Innocence, A Vietnam War Story - to great reviews. He is currently working on more novels, some fiction and some historical fiction.
