Indie author since 2011, lifestyle blogger since 2005. I've had a varied writing career. I started out freelancing for women's magazines, specialising in anything spooky or Pagan. Then I had a travel blog, which was great until I became a mother and the agoraphobia that had haunted me since my teenage years returned. Would you believe that agoraphobia and travel writing do not work well together? I moved into fiction, trying chick-lit (apparently I can't call it that now because it's not PC but I still do), bizarro fiction and then progressed to cozy mysteries and... shhhh. Don't tell anyone but I have a secret erotica career under a pseudonym. My biggest successes were a novel called The Tangled Web which reached number 1 on Amazon in the UK store and the Leger Cat Sleuth Mysteries. I've never reached the dizzy heights of stardom with my writing, and nobody really notices me, the author, but Leger, my feline detective has become very popular with his readers and he has a nice little cult following - which is infinitely cooler than actually being rich or famous. Don't you agree? I lost my way for a while and went back to school in my 30s to study for a Bachelors degree in Arts and Humanities, majoring in comparative religion and creative writing, which my atheist friends like to joke about. As a committed agnostic (is that an oxymoron?) I just ignore them. Now that I'm finishing that chapter of my life, I'm returning to my first love which is writing. I'm starting a podcast, launching late 2023, about what happens to writers once they stop writing. I'm always looking for former writers with a story to tell who want to come onto my podcast and be interviewed. I promise I'll be nice. My goal is to work in writing for wellbeing one day, live in Gibraltar and never, ever have my erotica pseudonym discovered. And maybe spread a little virtual sunshine through my blogs.
