I've always been fascinated with the occult and things that go bump in the night. At an early age, about two years old, my father used to take me to the cemetery by the lake to feed the ducks while he studied for his degree in college. I used to wander around, this was in the early 1970's, so it was a safe time back then. I would wander over to the children's area of the cemetery where the children were buried in their coffins six feet under. The area was covered with toys at the gravesides, but I always knew to never touch the toys for some reason. At that age most kids develop imaginary friends, my friends were the ghosts of some of those children. I always felt safe and secure in a cemetery, which lead me into my later years of feeling at peace with things involved in the occult. My heart has always been with the Gothic Sub-Culture and exploring things out of the ordinary. Ordinary is boring for me. You will notice that I will mention bands in my books, bands whose lyrics have influenced me during my life. Music is a powerful tool and should be incorporated in every day life somehow, even when telling a story... I wrote my first story at the age of five. It was about having an ice skating birthday party on the rings of Saturn. It was first place in a contest. From then on, I was always fascinated with writing and how I could explore other lives and worlds through imagination. As a teenager, I lost myself in books. My influences are Stephen King, whom my grandmother had introduced to me and bought me my first book by Mr. King and also Anne Rice. I have always enjoyed Aphrodite Jones and Anne Rule's true life crime books. I am fascinated with True Crime. After all, real life is much stranger than fiction.
