Keggie is the author of DADLAND which won the 2016 COSTA biography award. Before writing, her career was in contemporary art. Keggie was born in Gibraltar and has lived in West Cork, Barcelona, Texas, Auckland, and London. She now lives in Wiltshire with her husband where they have a small nature reserve. QUICKSAND TALES was published by Canongate in 2019, "a tonic for the tortured and cursed" Joshua Ferris BEASTLY: A New History of Animals and Us will be published 6 April, 2023.
