Kay Stevens, lovingly known by many of her students as “Miss Kay”, taught hundreds of elementary students over the course of her 29-year teaching career. Her undergraduate degree in Special Education, master’s degree in Learning Disabilities and endorsement in Elementary Education were all earned at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. She was a well-respected staff member at schools in Greeley and Boulder. Teaching her students to read and write, as well as appreciate children’s literature, always gave her the greatest pleasure. The presentation of her stories allows her to continue connecting with young readers.
