I was born into a family that loves to travel and I have spent many happy hours exploring Italy and getting to know my Italian "relatives" and their language and culture. I have developed a method specifically designed for the adult student of Italian, with practical phrases that promote understanding and make learning Italian an easy, step-by-step process. All books in the "Just the Important Phrases" series are easy-to-read and include basic pronunciation guidelines in the first chapter. And of course, both the "Conversational Italian" and "Conversational French" pocket travel books include special sections on reading Italian and French menus — each organized by how menus are laid out in Italian and French restaurants. Also included in these compact, light-weight books are insights into Italian and French food! The audio book, "Caterina Travels to Italy" tells the story of Caterina, an Italian-American girl who travels to Italy to visit her Italian relatives. Follow Caterina and experience her trip to Italy to learn even more useful Italian phrases for many different travel situations! Biography: Dr. Kathryn Occhipinti is a radiologist of Italian-American descent who has been leading Italian language groups in the Peoria and Chicago areas for over 15 years. During that time, she founded Stella Lucente, LLC, a publishing company focused on instructional language books designed to make learning a second language easy and enjoyable for the adult audience. Using her experiences as a teacher and frequent traveler to Italy, she wrote the "Conversational Italian for Travelers" series of books, which follow the character Caterina on her travels through Italy, while at the same time introducing the fundamentals of the Italian language. Nada Sneige Fuleihan is a native French speaker, French language educator, and translator who now resides in the Chicago area. Occhipinti and Fuleihan have teamed up to create the pocket travel book, "Conversational French for Travelers," "Just the Important Phrases," using the same method and format in the Italian pocket book for travelers "Conversational Italian for Travelers," originally created by Kathryn Occhipinti.
