Karen M. Pierce grew up in the land of “Uff da!” - Minneapolis, MN. This simple Scandinavian phrase provided years of comic relief in moments of sensory overwhelm, such as those times when in the midst of an extremely important career-related phone call, the dog starts barking ferociously at the door, an alert pops up on the screen notifying of a forgotten appointment, and the youngest child comes running through the house covered in mud. She has learned how to use “Uff da!” to get a grip on her own life and tap into opportunities showcasing her potential, her power, and most importantly, her dynamic personality at home and in her career. Karen developed her career in aerospace engineering, marketing, and business consulting through each season of life. She and her husband, Tom, have been married for 36 years. Together, they have parented two successful sons, moved 20 times (10 internationally), and created a vibrant marriage and successful careers. Karen realized her success was unusual when she was often asked, “How do you do it?” Karen is best known for being able to relate to the demands a woman encounters while building a career of significance, without losing sight of the greater value of her being present at home. She has personally overcome seasons full of unknowns, seasons of sacrifice, and experienced seasons of abundance. Her compassion and empathy shine through her contagious, uplifting energy. Today, Karen avidly shares, through her writing, speaking, and coaching to help women find their way and flourish in their God-given calling to create a rich, satisfying life in the workplace and at home through each season of career development, motherhood, and marriage.
