Kalila Black was born and raised in a small village in Michigan, surrounded by cows and cornfields. She fell in love with books and reading at a young age and spent hours stretched out on the window seat of the old Victorian home she grew up in, lost in other worlds. She graduated from Michigan College of Beauty and worked as a hair stylist until giving birth to her three children, when she decided to give it all up to be a stay at home mom. These days, you can find her in that same small village, typing frantically on her laptop, sipping Faygo, belting Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin' at the top of her lungs, and using her hand as a map.
