Josh Howard is the founder and Managing Principal of Bluefin Capital Advisors and a Founding Partner at Cor Leo Advisors. A Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) and Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA), Josh has trained more than 3,000 executives, business owners, and leaders and worked with hundreds of organizations across industries and sectors.

An operator at heart, Josh has spent 20+ years building and leading companies from the inside. He’s a serial entrepreneur who has founded, acquired, and run more than a dozen businesses across distribution, manufacturing, and service sectors. He brings leadership and governance experience across privately held and publicly traded organizations, including C-suite and board roles in private companies. That hands-on mix of strategy and execution is why leaders trust him to help turn big goals into real progress—on the calendar, in the culture, and through the results.

Josh’s perspective is global and practical. He has traveled to 50+ countries and directly managed operations in 90+ countries on six continents, learning what resilient leadership looks like across cultures and change. He has consulted with top-tier firms and advised on complex transactions, but he remains grounded in the same pressures his readers face: building something meaningful while carrying responsibility for people, families, and future.

This book isn’t written only from a boardroom—it’s written from a conviction. Shaped by watching his father run a small business for more than forty years, Josh believes character and stewardship matter more than headlines. Beyond business, he invests personally in humanitarian mission work, mentors college students, and challenges leaders to pursue significance: legacy beyond the balance sheet—where success becomes a platform for faith, service, and the people you develop.

Josh lives in Florida’s Tampa Bay area with his wife of nearly twenty-five years and their two daughters.
