Jonathan Mathias Lassiter, PhD. is a 21st century polymath utilizing psychology, writing, and dance to help others heal and thrive. All of his work is interdisciplinary and encompasses health psychology, spirituality, and multiculturalism. He has provided psychotherapy and psychological assessment for clients in medical centers across the country. His research has been published in several journals including Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity and Journal of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndromes. In addition, he is co-editor of Black LGBT Health in the United States: The Intersection of Race, Gender, and Sexual Orientation (Lexington Books, 2017). As an intellectual activist, he was founding chair of the LGBT Rights Department at The Hampton Institute (serving from 2012 to 2015). He also served as Co-founder and Resident Choreographer of Psychosomatic Dance from 2012 to 2016. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Muhlenberg College and Visiting Assistant Professor of Medicine at University of California, San Francisco.
