Jon Ziomek, an associate professor emeritus at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, has been a professional writer for his entire adult life. He's a former Chicago Sun-Times reporter whose assignments ranged from trends in American labor to celebrity interviews. The son of a World War Two pilot, he has had a lifelong interest in aviation. Jon continues to write, and also volunteers at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.Read more Read less
