Joan Herlong has been selling real estate since 1993, always full time, full throttle. She’s the 11th of 12 children, raised in Winnetka, IL. Growing up, her best defense was her quick wit. Her mother warned that, “If you go to that ‘public school,’ you’ll end up marrying some southern Protestant boy, and living in The South for the rest of your life.” She was not wrong. Joan met William Herlong in their first year at the University of Virginia. They married five years later, and just celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary. Their four children are all productive taxpayers. Two of them work for Joan’s company: Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty. Joan’s clients know her as the Upstate’s top selling Realtor for over a decade, who consistently raises the bar in terms of Client Service. Now they know she can write, too.
