She Flew Bombers During WW II began the author's writing career. Her research brought her to meet many of the WW II women pilots. Jeane Slone was awarded a grant by The Sonoma County Arts Council to publicly interview the Women Airforce Service Pilots' adventures at the Santa Rosa, CA Veteran's building. This historical novel won an Indie award and is available as an audio book on audible.com.
Ms. Slone's second historical novel, She Built Ships During WW II was written to satisfy her curiosity about the ethnically diverse women on the home front.
Her third novel, She Was An American Spy During WW II explores the training and adventures of American women spies.

Jeane Slone is the daughter of parents who were both in the Army during WW II. Jeane Slone is a member of the California Redwood Writer's Club, Healdsburg Literary Guild, The Pacific Coast Air Museum and SS Jeremiah O'Brien, San Francisco.
