Writer/Director, Producer, Filmmaker, and Educator Jason Rosette works in a wide range of genres and media, alternating between features, documentaries, and commissioned entertainment and edutainment. His first feature, BookWars ("Terrific" - LA Times), was released in the year 2000 to wide critical acclaim, despite its guerilla-filmmaking origins. His debut dramatic feature as writer/director, the road movie Lost in New Mexico, was heralded by the Moving Arts Journal as "a unique and interesting take on the fluidity of technology versus the recurring commonality of the human condition". Mr. Rosette has worked in Asia since 2004, and has produced numerous original and commissioned films and media in the region. There, Mr. Rosette - known also by his Asian aka 'Jack Ro' - wrote and directed the supernatural Vietnam War themed drama, Freedom Deal: Story of Lucky, while developing several future long form projects. Recently, he was working at the US Embassy in Rangoon (Yangon), Burma, American Center, while continuing to undertake a range of video and photography projects in the region. Mr. Rosette is also a photographer, musician, and voiceover talent; he has acted in off-off Broadway in New York City and on numerous independent films, where he is often cast as an ambivalent 'seeker' character or as an agent or underworld figure.
