Jamaal was born in the middle-class residential neighborhood of Jamaica, in Queens New York but was raised in Brownsville, Brooklyn New York. Jamaal Russ is a part-time actor, also owner at Denaro Puro LLC. Jamaal has written a series of stories about his experiences growing up in the urban areas. The People Vs Jamaal Russ, in which he describes some stories about growing up in New York, and how certain incidents affected him and how it eventually helped him to turn his life around. When Jamaal isn’t working hard, Jamaal loves to cook, play basketball, is a keen chess enthusiast. Jamaal also enjoys playing blackjack in casinos and traveling.
