I've always enjoyed telling stories as well as reading them. I would tell stories to frighten my adolescent friends during our rambles on the moors of Brittany, then later on, stories of brave heroes and princesses to my children and nowadays stories of fantasy and suspense. I trained as an engineer and my job takes me all over the world, which entails many Atlantic crossings and endless waiting about in airports for connecting flights, not to mention the occasional strike ! Writing has become for me a way of turning these long hours of tedium into moments of pleasure. Cranking up the suspense, stretching suspension of disbelief right to the limit, giving life to characters who will be with me for weeks or even months on end and who will then bring you right into the heart of the story. Encouraged by a few friends and with the more than active support of my wife, we have made full use of technological advances to make my novels available on Amazon--in the hope that you will enjoy a moment of relaxation while reading them. Both went into the top 100 best-sellers in France in less than three weeks. « Les Pierres Couchées" (not yet translated) stayed in the top 4 for over 3 weeks and in the top 100 for more than 800 days. The following novels « Au cœur du Solstice » (Heart Collector), and « Projet Anastasis » (Project Anastasis) both met a great success. ---- Ingénieur de formation, Jacques Vandroux est amené à effectuer de fréquents déplacements. Voyages en train, voyages transatlantiques, connexions à n'en plus finir dans les aéroports. Écrire est devenu un moyen de transformer ces longues heures en moments passionnants en donnant vie à des personnages qui l'accompagneront durant des mois. Peu enclin à multiplier les envois de manuscrits à des éditeurs, pour une issue plus qu'incertaine, il a partagé ses écrits avec ses proches, ce qui constituait déjà pour lui une grande satisfaction. Encouragé par quelques amis, et grâce à l'aide de son épouse, devenue à cette occasion son agent littéraire attitrée, il a ensuite utilisé l'avènement du numérique pour mettre ses romans à disposition sur différentes plateformes. Le succès qui a suivi l'a conduit à écrire davantage, pour son plaisir et celui des lecteurs. Certains de ses titres, traduits et publiés par Amazon Publishing, sont également disponibles en anglais ou en allemand. Après quatre best-sellers numériques, des éditeurs l'ont contacté. Cinq de ses titres, dont deux uniquement en numérique, sont publiés chez Robert Laffont via les circuits traditionnels de l'édition. En parallèle, il publie également en tant qu'auteur indépendant. Son souhait ? Que vous passiez un moment de détente en le lisant.... Après son succès en tant qu'auteur de thrillers, Jacques a eu envie d'écrire des textes un peu plus légers et humoristiques. C'est sur une idée de Jacqueline, amatrice du genre, et au cours d'une discussion sur une route finistérienne, qu'ils ont eu envie de tenter l'aventure du cosy mystery.
