Jacqueline Freeman is a biodynamic farmer and natural beekeeper who focuses on seeing the world from the bees’ perspective. She is known for her gentle and understanding ways with bees. Jacqueline authored two books, “Song of Increase: Listening to the Wisdom of Honeybees for Kinder Beekeeping and a Better World," and "What Bees Want: Beekeeping as Nature Intended." She speaks at international bee and nature conferences about what happens when people commit themselves to loving and putting bees' needs first. She appears in honeybee documentaries including, “Queen of the Sun: What the Bees Are Telling Us,” and in French, "Abeilles: Les reines de la conscience." She was hired by the USDA to work with rural farmers and beekeepers in Dominican Republic using historic methods of respectful beekeeping. Jacqueline’s website, www.SpiritBee.com, has videos of her working in the midst of thousands of bees, free of protective equipment, celebrating the caring and considerate ways humans and bees can exist in harmony. Jacqueline says, "I am dearly smitten with honeybees and find great comfort in their presence on our farm. My husband Joseph and I live in Washington state. We have orchards, gardens, a greenhouse, a small forest, rich pastures and plenty of flowering bee, butterfly and bird forage. The farm is a haven for native pollinators, our friendly cow and goat herd, an exuberant dog, fleet of cats, wandering flocks of chickens and turkeys, small fish ponds, and the many nature spirits who live in harmony with this blessed land."
