J.R.S.M. is a very private person for a lot of good reasons, which is why she likes to write under a lot of different pseudonyms, like a lot of other authors did, such as Agatha Christie, who also wrote under the pseudonym Mary Westmacott for her romance novels; and, Benjamin Franklin, who wrote under his first pseudonym (Mrs. Silence Dogood) at the youthful age of 16, before continuing to use additional false names as an author. And even C.S. Lewis was fond of the practice of writing under a different pen name, who wrote under the pseudonym names Clive Hamilton for "Spirits in Bondage" and N.W. Clerk for his publication "A Grief Observed". In addition, J.R.S.M. has a fun sense of humor, too, and loves a good mystery, so she likes to use pseudonyms that have a double or hidden meaning, to see if her fiction readers can "get it". Thus, her Ali Brown Criminal Profiler Series pseudonym A. Ryder really just stands for: "a writer". This use of pseudonyms is in keeping with J.R.S.M.'s desire to remain as anonymous as possible, so her readers can focus on what she writes and what her characters are about instead of on her as an author. Current J.R.S.M. pseudonyms include: A. Ryder; A.B. Leaver; J. Smith, to name a few. J.R.S.M. works of fiction genres include historical, mystery, thriller, romance and more...
