I am an avid reader, writer, parent, and teacher. Besides teaching elementary grade children in the classroom and as a reading specialist, I have also worked as a curriculum, online content, devotional, and short-story writer. My first college degree was in journalism. I have always enjoyed writing about topics people want to know more about. My published work includes creating teacher materials, books for beginning readers, curriculum, test-preparation items, workbooks, and online content. My home is filled with reading materials of all sorts - books, computers, magazines, and even an eBook Reader - constantly being used by my four children, husband, and myself. We live on an island near Seattle, and make time to explore this beautiful area with our two dogs.
