Gustavo Vázquez Lozano

Gustavo Vázquez-Lozano has authored over thirty titles in English and Spanish, and collaborates with several printed media in Mexico and the United States. A graduate of Liberal Studies in NYU, and Creative Writing in Wesleyan University, he has written extensively about early Christianity, and Mexico´s history. He is also a successful fiction author with award-winning novels such as "The Southern Star" (La Estrella del Sur) and "The Elephant That Smiled" (El elefante que sonreía).

Among his most recent publications are the biographies of Mexico´s Pancho Villa and Maximilian of Habsburg (Charles River Editors, 2016), both positioned at the top of their respective categories continuously for almost three years in Amazon.mx. He has received literary awards in Mexico. Currently he is working on a biography of the final years of Carlota, Empress of Mexico.
