Gordon Hobson is a retired attorney and first-time author from Columbus, Ohio. He was raised in a golfing family and has a lifelong affection for the game as a player, caddy, and spectator. He has been fortunate to play many majestic venues open to the public: Bandon Dunes, Pebble Beach, Torrey Pines, Barton Creek, the Robert Trent Jones Trail, Pinehurst and many courses in Scotland. Hobson caddied for Bruce Fleisher when he won the 1968 U.S. Amateur, in an LPGA event and a PGA Pro-Am. He attended multiple US Opens, Ryder Cups, a President’s Cup, the Masters, the PGA and numerous tour events. He lives with his wife, Lisa in New Orleans, where they can often be found on public golf courses. They are fortunate to share the city with their children and grandchildren. During his 35 year legal career he represented “the little guy" serving as counsel to the Columbus Tenants Union and Columbus Free Press. For the last 21 years of his career he served as the senior litigator in the Federal Public Defenders Columbus office. His book is a union of his love of golf and civil rights.
