Glenn Dixon has travelled through more than sixty-five countries, writing and publishing travel articles and cultural pieces in major publications such as the National Geographic Magazine, the New York Post and Psychology Today. He is the author of three books.
His first novel, In the Teeth of the Gods, is a historical fantasy describing the apocalypse of the Mayan civilization. In it, the gods play a great ballgame with the mortals of the Earth, causing the collapse of the Mayan throne.
He has also written two books of non-fiction. Pilgrim in the Palace of Word is: a journey through the 6000 languages of Earth and, due in April 2013, Tripping the World Fantastic:is about the music of our planet.
Dixon has worked on documentary films from Tibet to the Amazon and he plays guitar in a band called Global Chilling. He lives and works in Calgary, Canada.
