Gerlethia is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina who was born with a gift for that has grown into a passionate talent that can mesmerize an audience. Singing has become second nature for this artiest and her musical skills and vocal abilities tends to connect her to audience in a way that’s sure to make all take notice. Gerlethia got her first taste of performing in front of a crowd when she was twelve and given her first solo in church then she move on to the school chorus and the journey began. It wasn’t until she turned twenty-one that she got her true calling in the musical play Big River. Over the next several years Gerlethia started to build her skill and expand her horizon to become a versatile performer, performing in different venues. Gerlethia music influences include but not limited to Rochelle Ferrell, Patty Labelle, Carol Woods, Babyface, Rochelle Ferrell, Janet Jackson, and CeCe Winans. Gerlethia is a very motivated and goal orientated young lady who is self-discipline with the ability to listen to feedback and use it constructively; as well as being dedicated to doing her best at whatever is put before. These are the things that lead to true success in her book. Gerlethia puts her heart and soul into each word she sings giving the listener a whole new experience each time they hear her. Gerlethia has put her love for creative into a new medium: Writing, with her first manuscript “It’s All in His Hands”. She believes this is only the beginning of the creativity that is within. Gerlethia wants to be able to share with the whole world her gift from GOD, letting them know anything is possible if they work hard enough. Gerlethia also feels that the only way to make dreams come true is to work hard and believe in GOD. Hearing is believing and believing is easy.
