I was born at Wordsley, near Stourbridge, in the UK, and I am a graduate of Durham University, where I studied English Language and Medieval Literature. The medieval interest has fed into my writing: particularly the sequence of "short" stories known as "The Bizarre Fables" - which has just been published by The Little French E-Books Company and is available on Amazon, both as an e-book and as a paperback. I am not a first time author, in that I have two full(paper) poetry collections under my belt, namely "The Echo and the Breath" (Peterloo) and "The Ridiculous Nests of the Heart" (bluechrome). I am also the editor of "The Review of Contemporary Poetry" (bluechrome). I work as a regional journalist in the UK. This year, The Little French will bring out "A Letter for Alice", a novella which looks at the relationship and controversy surrounding Lewis Carroll and the Liddell family and, in particular, Lorina Liddell. I am fortunate to be married to the artist Heather E. Geddes, because she is such a fine book illustrator.
