With quill in hand, hunched over a desk by candlelight, Galemine chronicles the history of worlds long forgotten. Empowered by the teachings of modern and ancient philosophers, he channels inspiration and insight, encouraging a positive outlook in the midst of adversity. To truly live takes courage, to achieve your dreams takes discipline. The work is intended to ignite the spark of creation within each of us. Message from the author: Dear Seeker, Escapist, Collector, and Connoisseur: You, dear reader, will decide whether my writings are worthy of attention. To receive your recognition, with favor or disfavor, I will consider myself incredibly blessed and fortunate for your time. My job, in as far as the completed pages are concerned, is done. The court of public opinion will decide its worth, as it should. For the individual who is considering whether to follow me on this journey, I offer you this: My intention is to offer an experience both whimsical and insightful. In that sense, it is a desire to instill a positive, practical outcome to your everyday life. If one statement within the written pages rings true, if one passage can be carried with you to improve upon, or reaffirm principles important to you, then I will have succeeded in exemplary fashion. Since what one finds to be an “improvement” is a matter of opinion, let me offer what I mean. If you value compassion, courage, wisdom, and temperance, then I hope this book, at the very least, reinforces those concepts within you. To those who rise each morning with the pursuit to be better than you were the day before, it is this spirit that compelled me and my writing. I dare not suggest that my words will better your life, but if it can at least reaffirm and encourage the desire to, then it is to you and for you, directly, that I write. To one on a different path, perhaps I can sway your course with my fantastical tales. Fantasy, while by definition is a genre of make believe, has a remarkable capacity to convey truths of the heart and of the human condition. To one who has already read my work, my message is short, but of great importance. Thank you for supporting a self-published artist, thank you for having taken an interest, no matter the motivation that led you here. I attempt to live my life with gratitude for all life situations, regardless if they are favorable or not, and the mere fact you sacrificed however much of your time that you did provides an equal measure of appreciation. ~G.G.
