Eunice is a native of Baltimore who lives in Potomac, Maryland with her husband and two Siamese cats, Chloe and Lacy. She worked full time as a Treasurer for a computer software company for many years while raising two daughters. As far back as she can remember, she was fascinated by the stories her grandmother told of the life she led in Lithuania, and throughout the years she was obsessed with telling her grandmother’s story. After many years of research to discover the historical events that shaped her grandmother’s life’s story, Eunice completed her novel Shavlan. Shavlan is the story of A Woman’s Journey to Independence while living through World War I, the Russian Revolution, Russian Civil War, Pogroms and Lithuanian Independence. The story covers a broad variety of subjects: faith, love, loyalty, devotion, and strength of family ties in the Eastern European Jewish community and most important, the strength of Sarah Taube, the author’s grandmother, during turbulent times in Russian history. When Eunice is not devoting her time to researching and writing, she enjoys spending time with her family, reminiscing with her friends about the happy days spent growing up in Baltimore, and speaking to various organizations in the Washington/Baltimore area about Russian history during the time her novel takes place.
