I have always had a great love for reading. My first books were the classics and then on to mysteries. When I wrote my first book I really just did it as a hobby, something to pass the time when I didn't have a new book. However, when I found out I could self publish a book I thought I'd give it a try and I'm glad to say that it did pretty well. Of course with my confidence up I thought I'd give it another try and that's where "The Legend of Bronze Arm " came from. Pirate stories, such as Treasure Island, were always my favorite. I enjoyed mysteries too so I created my first detective and currently have six books out with him in it. The Ira Wakely Mysteries are written in the more vintage style, like what was common in the 1930s. This time period was always appealing because the detective had to use his wits to solve the mystery. There was very little by way of forensics at that time which made the job harder but also more interesting for the reader to solve. Ira is a mystery within a mystery and as the books go on more and more of him and his strange past is revealed. My newest series is The Seven Men Mysteries. This series is still set in the 1930s but this time, over in England with a bit of a different feel. The main character is a young woman who is the most unassuming person. She has been raised by an uncle who has no affection or care for her but who she attempts to save when she finds him dying in a burning house. This one act of kindness, though unsuccessful, throws Joan into a nightmare of revenge and a set of men who make murder their pastime. Through all of this she begins to find out more about herself and a past she didn’t imagine she had. God has really blessed me and I hope everyone enjoys these books.
