Emma Jean is an award winning Children's Author specializing in feel good middle grade and picture books, that teach kids to love reading. She is a social media rockstar with a reach nearing 25k across platforms. She uses her platforms to advocate for positive female role models in STEM on her IGTV show Emma Jean Interviews. She lives in Massachusetts, where she spends plenty of time listening to the ocean even on the coldest New England days. She studied Creative Writing at Holy Cross then earned her Masters in School Counseling at Assumption University. Like her reporters in the Charles McCheese series, she found time to travel the world, helping with the Katrina clean up effort in New Orleans, studying abroad in Sri Lanka, and working alongside the Peace Corps. in Armenia. She's also worked with the Red Cross and counseled children in some of the toughest cities in Massachusetts. Charles McCheese and The Childhood News Network was dedicated to her eldest son who helped her with the concept, and her second book Sleeping Beauty and The Cursed Code was systematically designed to help combat the opting out phenomenon of girls in STEM, where due to a lack of relatable representation, girls self-select out of futures in STEM before the even entered high school biology.
