Born 1945 in Baltimore, MD, I was raised in the Greektown section of the city. Upon high-school graduation in 1963, I enlisted in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1966 at the rank of sergeant. After becoming a sworn member of the Prince George's County Maryland Police Department in 1970, on May 15, 1972, while on a temporary assignment to the US Secret Service in offering security to presidential candidates, I assisted in the arrest of Arthur Bremer immediately after he shot Alabama Governor George C. Wallace and several bystanders at the Laurel Shopping Center, Laurel, MD, during a campaign speech. Subsequent assignments on the police department include five years as a homicide detective where I investigated over 400 deaths, fifty-nine of which were homicides with fifty-six closures; in June of 1990 I retired from the Internal Affairs Section of the department at the rank of sergeant. Presently I serve as an employment background investigator for the US Government and have resided in Bowie, MD since 1967. In September, 2011, my debut novel, IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING, was traditionally published by All Things That Matter Press. Murder-mystery junkies and history buffs will be enthralled by this action-packed story of unpredictable twists, turns, deception, reckoning and extreme murder, set in Baltimore, Bowie, Annapolis and DC, circa 1944-83. Actual events from the annals of the Prince George's County Police Department have been dovetailed into this work of fiction to form a compelling saga and memorable crime drama.
