Born Iowa City Iowa Nov 23, 1964. Raised in South Eastern Michigan Algonac and St. Clair. Graduated from St. Clair High 1983, moving almost immediately to Yuma Az where he worked testing weapons for the army, learning his communication skills from a retired Navy Chief Petty officer. Social skills were developed in the company of Rattle Snakes and Saguaro Cactus and the odd Gila monster. Inducted into the Navy Nov 22, 1986 at NTC San Diego he volunteered for submarine duty serving on board the USS Baton Rouge SSN 689 a Los Angeles Class Fast Attack submarine out of Norfolk Va. It was while serving on board the Baton Rouge that his initial interest in writing surfaced when his boat was moored to a WWII Pier built by the Germans, complete with pill boxes. This pier happened to be less than a mile from the last anchorage of the Battleship Bismark. Being a keen observer of history, this sparked his interest in writing further. It was in Bergen Norway that the ideas for his first book were first put to paper. Over the course of his enlistment and visiting many foreign shores all over the world, his note books were filled with ideas for stories that would, he thought, make interesting stories. His travels took him to Singapore, where he sailed through the Malacca Straights where piracy, even today is quite prominent and made evident by the hulks of ships long ago sacked, run aground and looted of their cargo. Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean provided him with insights into exotic wild life with close up encounters with sharks, crabs, sting rays and the dubious and dangerous wild, domestic chicken. Currently practicing Chiropractic in Monterey California, were many of the worlds most famous authors have been inspired to write. Authors such as Robert Louis Stevenson who penned Treasure Island while living in Monterey, inspired by his walks along Point Lobos. It happened to be in Monterey California where he pulled out his notes from his navy days and went through them. His wife had asked him to go through his closet and straighten it out. In doing so he rediscovered his notes. The first words of 'The Odessa Legacy' (volume 1)were typed later that same day. He currently is the proud father of four children his oldest son is currently serving in the Coast Guard, His daughter is in college deciding upon a career, his youngest is still in high school with his adopted daughter living close by raising two young boys and is at expecting her third.
