Prof Dr Jan Bonhoeffer cares for patients with his wife and team at their private clinic and teaches pediatrics at the University Children's Hospital in Basel, Switzerland. He followed his heart to establish the Heart-Based Medicine Foundation in 2018 when he woke up to his mission to further the evolution of healthcare in an unprecedented way. Jan is a globally-recognized educator, keynote speaker, popular podcast guest and host, with a regular column in Psychology Today.  His passion for heart-centered care is evident in 'Dare to Care', a book written for his god-daughter which is now climbing the Amazon charts, sharing everything he wished he'd learned in medical school. Jan previously built and led large global research networks to improve child health, and has published over 100 scientific papers and book chapters on infectious diseases and vaccines. He also worked with the WHO to shape global health programs. His priorities include always starting the day with self-care and some heartful practices and to eat dinner with his family every night, regardless of his schedule!
