Dr Chloe Paidoussis-Mitchell is a UK Chartered Counselling Psychologist, a long-standing Lecturer at The Existential Academy and at The New School of Psychotherapy & Counselling in London and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society with more than 20 years of clinical expertise in Mental Health, Trauma, Loss and Grief. She is also a clinical supervisor to other psychologists, an academic supervisor to a number of Phd candidates researching Grief, and a Mental Health at Work consultant, raising awareness on Grief in the workplace. She wrote “The Loss Prescription” having suffered loss herself, and appreciating what it takes to embrace life again whilst lost in the dark. She has put her heart and soul into her latest book (The Loss Prescription) spreading hope to those shattered by grief with her practical advice and strategies (AKA Prescriptions). Dr Chloe was born and raised in Greece, and splits her time between Athens (Greece) and London where she runs a successful private practice, the Grief Clinic, offering therapy to people from all over the world. She is the author of a number of articles on mental health & grief and has appeared on CNN, BBC Radio 2’s Breakfast Show and on a number podcasts, as well as in print for Huffington Post, Daily Telegraph & The Guardian discussing Mental ill Health and Grief. In 2022 she was invited to lead a Guardian Masterclass on “How to cope with grief and loss.” She has been a visiting lecturer for a number of psychology programmes, including Cambridge University Executive MBA teaching Mental Fitness and Resilience for Mental Health & Wellbeing. Dr Chloe is passionate about democratising therapy and bringing people together to support each other, and share in the humanity of loss.
