Douglas Glenn Clark
Douglas Glenn Clark says...
Simple values guide my work as a writer. My father was a musician. Music was the language of my formative years. I found my song in words. I write contemporary stories -- The Memory Songbook and others -- with strings attached.
But my guitar is not out of reach. My song collections "Passion Ghost" and "If I Touch You" draw from the themes of my "Songbook" fiction.
Midwest Book Review: Shirley Johnson
"The characters live in a world of enchantment and the reader is drawn into that world by the words and story of Douglas Glenn Clark. The descriptive power of his words in many instances was exceptional." (The Lake That Stole Children)
My nonfiction book series "Startup Author Hacks" helps aspiring writers to be more productive and creative. The "hacks" also help new writers to think about their skills as a small business or startup business.
"These methods helped me develop a simple outline and details of my life story into my first book. The 'startup' ideas are a strong way for newbies to begin a writing project." --Thomas Black, MD, author of The Passive Income Physician
I'm a former journalist who wrote for the Los Angeles Daily News and other newspapers, and I'm a recipient of writing grants from arts councils in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Michigan. A member of the Writers Guild of America who also creates original entertainment content for TV and film.
I also ghostwrite for business people and other professionals who see authorship as a way to build their platform and brand.
"I particularly liked "Little RED dress" which was poetic, beautifully written and just about perfect. The Cancer Assassin is a fine collection." Joseph Aragon, author of The Paris Plot
