I've always loved dogs! Storytime: When I was a teenager, I was asked to take care of my neighbors dogs for a 3 day weekend. I knew these 2 pups pretty well, but for me this was a big deal, because I was being asked to do the job -- not my parents. Well, on day 2, one of the doggo's (the larger one) decided to become a Real stinker. When I got there, he had torn up 2 pillows and some stuffed dog toys. As I was standing there not knowing what to do, he came around a corner and started growling at me. I froze. He kept the growl going, then started barking at me. He had a big bark. I was so scared, I probably let out a cry/yelp and started backing up. I tried to communicate with him but he was just...mad. I went home in tears, and basically my parents and I started researching ways to handle this situation. My folks also love dogs and knew these 2 fairly well. So, we learned a bunch of concepts, and eventually all 3 of us went back to the house together, and with some basic behaviors we were able to establish a communication with s this obviously upset pooch. That's the experience that led me to write these books. I hope you enjoy!
