Diane M. Warmsley, a former Director of Admissions, brings 35 years of experience to the discussion on college admissions. She began her career as a New York City public school teacher and transitioned to higher education, holding several administrative positions over the course of 25+ years. She was inspired to begin work on Cash Poor or College? when tissues became a staple item in her office for all too many aspiring students who did not gain access to their college of choice. If only these students knew how to maximize their high school experiences, their college admission outcomes would have been more rewarding. Mapping out a systematic and coherent pathway to college is precisely the mission of Cash Poor or College? Diane Warmsley holds an M.S. degree in Administration & Supervision in Higher Education from Baruch College/CUNY. She has two college-educated children, with one currently pursuing doctoral studies. She lives in Queens, New York with her husband, a retired high school Principal, and enjoys monitoring the higher education landscape, teaching genealogy, and keeping-up with five grandchildren.
