Deborah Wynne began writing as a young girl and Opening Act (Promises and Pirouettes Book 1) was her debut novel. Opening Act was a winner of the Firebird Award for Contemporary Fiction and also a winner of the Firebird Award for New Fiction. Since releasing her debut she has also published Intermission, (Pirouettes and Promises Book 2) and The Original Wife. The Original Wife was a winner of the Firebird Award in four categories: Contemporary Novel, Crime Fiction, Romantic Suspense, and Women's issues. A University of Colorado alumna, she was dragged kicking and silently screaming into the business world of non-descript pantsuits and surly expressions. After two different careers in municipal government, she made the switch to consulting in the private sector. She exists mostly on coffee, endless loops of Neil Diamond tracks, and fawning over other people’s pets. Her writing marathons allow her to live vicariously through her characters and stories which bear no recognizable similarity to her real life. Ms.Wynne lives in Colorado and has two grown daughters and five grandchildren. Ms. Wynne is active on Twitter and Facebook.
